Intercultural Music-Making: An Educational Project

This initiative invited college music majors to learn and perform traditional Chinese music, fostering cultural empathy through immersive artistic exchange. Participants explored the history, techniques, and emotional language of Chinese instruments (such as the erhu), bridging cultural divides through collaborative music-making. The project was led by Dr. Jingwen Zhang and Dr. Phyllis Chen.
